Meadow View is a rustic design that is equally at home in wide-open meadow landscape, wooded mountains, or water front location. This is a beautiful home, and is designed to take advantage of a beautiful location. It also is filled with features of a well thought out, healthy home plan. Its open floor plan, abundant windows, well designed roof with large overhangs, and the detached garage are all features that go beyond beautiful architecture: They all impact and improve the indoor air quality.
Sussex
Architect:
Bruce Wydeven
Milwaukee Craftsman, LLC
Total Sq. Ft.: 2630 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 2.5
Sussex has two large gables on the front facade, which helps give this steep-roofed arts and crafts cottage a distinct look. The heavy stone base around the perimeter of the home gives it a solid visual foundation. Sussex gets its name from this distinct limestone that is quarried around the town of Sussex in southeastern Wisconsin.
Family Tradition
Architect:
Dale Mulfinger
SALA Architects Inc.
Total Sq. Ft.: 2650 Bedrooms: 4 Baths: 3.0
Unlike many homes which face their "long side" toward the street, this home presents a compact facade, making it ideal for a narrow lot . The focus of the living areas is toward the back, an advantage in the city or suburbs where privacy from the street is desired. The house was originally built on the shore of a lake, where the rear-oriented living spaces and master suite took advantage of the lake views.
Hillside House
Architect:
Matthew Bialecki
Matthew Bialecki Associates
Total Sq. Ft.: 2653 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 2.0
Hillside House is a contemporary Arts and Crafts style home, designed to take advantage of broad rearward views. Each of the main spaces within the house faces a view, making a strong connection between the interior and the landscape outside. The octagonal central volume of this home acts like an architectural hinge in the design, and this same shape creates a spectacular tower room in the upper level.
