Heartland Farmhouse
Architect:
Tim Fuller
SALA Architects, Inc.
Total Sq. Ft.: 2275 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 2.5
This house, an update of a prairie farmstead, offers comfortable living in a traditional aesthetic. Simple detailing and shapes form an elegant rural character, maintaining an easy flow between the kitchen, dining and informal living room.
Burleigh
Architect:
Bruce Wydeven
Milwaukee Craftsman, LLC
Total Sq. Ft.: 1984 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 2.5
Burleigh is a 2-story craftsman farmhouse that is at home nearly anywhere. This unique design has two crossing gables with partial shed dormers that bring in abundant natural light. It has arts & crafts detailing inside and out. Although this house has a large feel, is less than 2,000 square feet.
Sky High
Architect:
Dale Mulfinger
SALA Architects Inc.
Total Sq. Ft.: 1152 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 3.0
One of our most unique designs, Sky High was originally built on an island with a series of other small cabins. At this home's densely wooded original location, vegetation effectively hid views of a beautiful lake. The solution was a home with a tiny footprint and an elevated "tree house" design.Incorporating a total of 4 levels, the upper 3 levels are designed to be above visual obstructions, and to take advantage of views in multiple directions.
Gatehouse
Architect:
Darrel DeBoer
DeBoer Architects
Total Sq. Ft.: 1112 Bedrooms: 1 Baths: 1.0
Gatehouse is a one bedroom passive solar strawbale guest cottage. High ceilings, shed-style roof and curved layout make this an unusual combination of natural earthy materials and modern techno-architecture.
Cross House
Architect:
Matthew Bialecki
Matthew Bialecki Associates
Total Sq. Ft.: 1859 Bedrooms: 3 Baths: 2.5
The compact and efficient design of the Cross House harkens back to its functional, no-nonsense agrarian roots. Its classic symmetrical cross-gabled farmhouse exterior is contrasted with a more modern open and spacious interior floorplan.
