Mountain Light is a smaller cottage style home. At 950 square feet, it was originally designed as an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) to our Mountain Sun home, and architecturally they are designed to complement one another. However, Mountain Light is an excellent stand-alone home for an individual or couple looking to build a small but fully functional house. Mountain Light is essentially a 768 square foot single level cottage, with a 180 square foot loft efficiently tucked up under the peak of its roof. It too has a large covered rear deck, which adds an extra 250 square feet of protected outdoor space.

Gatehouse

Gatehouse is a one bedroom passive solar strawbale guest cottage. High ceilings, shed-style roof and curved layout make this an unusual combination of natural earthy materials and modern techno-architecture.

Sky High

One of our most unique designs, Sky High was originally built on an island with a series of other small cabins. At this home's densely wooded original location, vegetation effectively hid views of a beautiful lake. The solution was a home with a tiny footprint and an elevated "tree house" design.Incorporating a total of 4 levels, the upper 3 levels are designed to be above visual obstructions, and to take advantage of views in multiple directions.

Small and simple, the Ogden home was originally designed as an in-law cottage or guesthouse. This straightforward elegant form was typical of the arts & crafts designs in the Mid-west in the 1920's. Ideal for elderly or disabled occupants, the entire home is on a single level with no steps and 3 foot wide doorways throughout.
