Maple Forest 3 is the most recent version in this striking series of designs. It packs a lot of character into a relatively small and narrow footprint.

Like its predecessors, it retains the steep cottage style roof, distinctive stone chimney and rounded deck. It also maintains its elegant interior detailing and exposed wood beams.

Maple Forest 3 is designed with its inviting front deck and its entry on the narrow end facing the street. This allows it to be built on relatively narrow lots in suburban or water front settings. Unlike most homes, the garage is tucked around back, minimizing its presence and focusing attention instead on the main home. The essentially square shape of the garage allows the doors to be moved to any side, depending on the best approach on your lot.

The exposed wooden beams of the main level of the home are more than just decorative. They serve to define rooms in an otherwise open floorplan, and add beauty and a cozy feeling to the home. The main level in this version has a full sized guest bedroom and full bath. Though intended for deep narrow lots, clever placement of the front entry and mudroom allow either to be adapted as main entries to the home. This means the home is quite adaptable to various approaches, view opportunities, and lot slopes.

The Upper level of then home has a spacious Master Bedroom with vaulted ceilings, and large bath. In addition there are two other bedrooms, sharing a full bath. The hallway at the top of the stairs leads to a large storage area - approximately 600 square feet of floorspace, and 400 square feet of standing height - below the steeply pitched roof of the garage.

The lower level of the home, if built, has a very large media room, large storage area, and dedicated craft room, in addition to a 5th bedroom and full bath.
