SALA Architects
Katherine Hillbrand, AIA, SALA Principal, specializes in hand-crafted timbered buildings that reflect the collaborative effort between the craftsperson and designer. Her interests also include the architecture of the Arts & Crafts Movement and the vernacular architecture of the Midwest. She joined SALA Architects, Inc in 1986 and became a partner in 1995. Katherine received both a Bachelor of Arts in 1965 and a master of Architecture in 1986 from the University of Minnesota. She is a registered Architect as well as a Certified Interior Designer in Minnesota. Katherine received an award for her work with the Habitat for Humanity House / Timber Framer’s Guild of North America in Hanover Pennsylvania in 1989.
